This list helps you describe your starting point. It does not indicate a hotel partnership or guaranteed pickup. We confirm the meeting point, transport, availability and price in your proposal. You can name a different hotel in the enquiry form.
For hotels on pedestrian streets, including Casa da Companhia, we confirm a vehicle meeting point separately.
Staying in Porto or Gaia
Make the journey into the valley part of your day. Tell us where you are staying and whether you would like wine visits, a river experience, gastronomy or a combination. Your starting point and return plans help us shape the route.
Have a dinner reservation or an onward connection? Add it to your enquiry so we can assess the timing before proposing a programme. Pickup is planned individually; hotel entrances and meeting points are confirmed in advance.
Plan a journey from Porto or GaiaAlready in the Douro
Start with your interests and the place you are staying. Pinhão, Ferrão, Régua and Lamego offer different starting points for exploring the valley. We can discuss wine, local food, a river experience or a slower day with a private host.
Staying around Castelo de Paiva in the western Douro? Tell us when you enquire. It calls for a different route and travel plan from a departure in the central valley. We will confirm what fits your date and available time.

Is every part of the experience private?
It depends on your programme. The Classy Douro portfolio features private river experiences, subject to your agreed programme; The Perfect Overview includes a shared Rabelo river trip. Private hosting or transport does not make every visit exclusive. Your proposal identifies the private and shared elements.
Can I ask for tomorrow or a short-notice date?
Yes, you can tell us your preferred date. We check the host, transport and providers before confirming availability. Sending an enquiry does not reserve a place or guarantee a short-notice departure.
Is hotel pickup included in a fixed price?
We do not quote one pickup price for every hotel. Your location, route and transport needs are considered in the proposal, with the inclusions and commercial conditions confirmed before you decide.
My hotel, concierge or travel advisor is helping me. Can you coordinate?
Yes. In the enquiry, choose the option for travelling with an advisor and name the professional helping you. Hotel teams and advisors can also use our travel professionals page. We agree the arrangements before confirming the journey.
What happens after my enquiry?
Our team reviews your dates, group and preferences, then discusses a programme with you. A proposal and booking confirmation are separate steps. Please do not send room numbers, passport details or payment information in the enquiry.
